It’s summer here! And what’s more, we’ve been having rain! The last two summers have been pretty droughty, so I’m glad we’re at least starting off with rain this year. Honestly, it’s been so nice. The other morning, I opened my office window for a few hours and listened to the birds singing and rain hitting the house while I read. Glorious.
And hey, speaking of summer (and why everyone’s getting the preview so I don’t have to send a whole other email), Nashae Jones and I will be visiting a few Virginia Barnes and Noble stores in June and July. Nashae has two excellent books out — COURTESY OF CUPID and AS YOU WISH, and both will be available at all our stops.
Of my books, I think most stores will have MY LADY JANE and BYE FOREVER, I GUESS. Some may have other books from my backlist, but those will probably be more limited, so if you know you want something, you can ask them to order it for you! And, of course, I will sign whatever you bring from home. <3
Here’s our schedule:
June 14 at 1pm — Richmond, VA (Chesterfield Town Center)
June 18 at 3pm — McLean, VA (Tyson’s Corner)
June 27 at 1pm — Harrisonburg, VA
July 5 at 1pm — Glen Allen, VA
July 13 at 2pm — Fairfax, VA (Fair Lakes Promenade)
I’ll also have a bunch of these little coffee cup sleeves at every stop. Some of you will already know that I just make these out of leftover yarn and give them away at different events. They’re nice to have!
And hey, if you knit and you want to make some yourself, here’s where I talk about the pattern. (It’s super easy, and a great way to get started knitting in the round if that’s a new skill for you!)
Hope to see you there!!
Okay, so who else dropped everything a couple months ago when Bethesda announced they were going to rerelease Oblivion — like, right now?
Gahh I was so excited! I’d been in a gaming rut for several months; nothing really seemed exciting to me. And I admit, I prefer a very specific type of game: single-player fantasy RPG, ideally open world. Okay, it’s Skyrim. I like Skyrim. And Elden Ring. And Horizon: Zero Dawn. And so on.
