Signed Confessions
What happens in the group chat stays in the group chat . . . until it doesn't.
Happy good morning, friends!
A couple fun things have happened for CONFESSIONS FROM THE GROUP CHAT recently!
School Library Journal gave her a starred review! “Timely and immediately engaging, this is a clear first purchase for all middle grade and YA collections.”
And Amazon chose her as an October Editor’s Pick, up there with books by Jason Reynolds, Alan Gratz, and Jennifer Nielsen! She has a little banner and everything now!
There’s a giveaway for CONFESSIONS FROM THE GROUP CHAT over on Goodreads! (US only, sorry!) And there’s still time to request the eARC on NetGalley here.
But what if you want a signed copy?
I got you. Next week, I’ll be heading over to One More Page to sign all the preorders.
I’m planning to stop over there during the day on October 21, but I’m not sure what time yet. So if you want to ensure you get a signed copy, make sure you put your order in by October 20. Anything after that might have to wait until the next time I visit the store. (It’s a two-hour drive for me, so it’s not a trip I make all the time!)
Here’s the link!
Edit: HEADS UP! I chose the wrong day to send this newsletter, hah. The store’s website is updating, so checkout is disabled until the afternoon of 10/16. Try again then! I’m sorry!
As many of you know, One More Page has been my preorder partner for years, and I’m so excited to once again be working with them to get signed and personalized copies of my newest release to readers all around. It’s extra work on their part, to do all that packaging and shipping, and I’m really grateful they’re willing to take it on.
If you’ve read BYE FOREVER, I GUESS, the bookstore Ingrid visits maaaay be based off One More Page. That’s how much I love them.

Proof I went somewhere!
Last weekend, I went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival with Brigid Kemmerer. We were worried it was actually going to be a rain fest, because the weather forecast looked bleak, but it turned out to be a lovely day and we had an amazing time meeting readers and checking out everyones’ costumes.
Did we get photos throughout? No. Of course we did not. But I did manage to take a few photos before things got started. Here’s my side of the authors’ lair.
And here’s a photo from the bookstore. It’s basically the same thing, but proof I was there and that I did dress up.
Wow! I read your Substack regularly and had no idea you were so close by. My indie bakery+bookstore is in Northern Virginia and we'd love for you to stop by to make that two-hour drive even more worthwhile! We've been open for just over a year ☺️
How fun to have an authors lair at a ren faire! :) And congrats on the good news for your book!
